Sosialisasi Hukum sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Kesadaran Hukum Masyarakat Desa Mejayan

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the legal awareness of the residents of Mejayan Village through a legal education program focusing on two main areas: criminal law (specifically concerning narcotics abuse) and civil law (particularly issues of divorce and inheritance). The method employed adopts the Legal Consciousness Theory, which emphasizes the importance of public understanding of legal norms as an integral part of social life. The activity was conducted on July 22, 2025, and was attended by the Head of Mejayan Village as well as local residents. The results indicate a significant improvement in the community’s understanding of the legal consequences of criminal acts and the importance of legal procedures in resolving civil matters. Thus, this activity represents a concrete manifestation of the university’s role in fostering a legally conscious society.
