Peer Review Process
Every article submitted to Basmat Al Ikhsan: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat will first be received by the editorial staff and screened by the section editor to determine whether it meets the journal’s scope and submission requirements.
In the next stage, the manuscript undergoes an initial review by the section editor. If deemed suitable, it will be forwarded to the peer review stage. The section editor then assigns the manuscript to at least two reviewers for evaluation. The reviewers’ comments and recommendations are submitted to the editorial board, and the executive editor will coordinate the next steps of the review process.
After the review is completed, the manuscript will be returned to the section editor to determine whether it is accepted, requires revision, or rejected. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on the reviewers’ feedback. The entire review process generally takes up to one month to complete.
All manuscripts are evaluated on both substantive (content) and technical (format and presentation) aspects. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s criteria may be rejected immediately without external review.
The editorial decision is made based on the reviewers’ recommendations, and the editor in chief holds the final authority to decide which manuscripts are published.
Review Process Flow:
- Author submits the manuscript
- Editorial evaluation (some manuscripts may be rejected or returned before review)
- Double blind peer review process
- Editorial decision (accepted, revision required, or rejected)
- Final confirmation to the author
