Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Islamic Economics undergo a double-blind peer review process. This means that both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the review process.

Steps in the peer review process:

  1. Initial Screening

 –The editorial team reviews the manuscript for suitability, scope, plagiarism check, and adherence to author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be rejected at this stage.

  1. Reviewer Assignment

– Eligible manuscripts are sent to at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

  1. Review Process

– Reviewers provide objective and constructive feedback regarding the originality, quality, methodology, contribution, and ethical aspects of the manuscript.

  1. Editorial Decision

– Based on the reviewers’ comments, the editor makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
  • Reject

 

 

  1. Revision Stage

-Authors are required to respond to reviewers’ comments and resubmit the revised manuscript within the given timeframe.

  1. Final Decision and Publication

-The editorial board makes the final decision and prepares the manuscript for publication.
