Kebijakan Baru Permenkop No.08 Tahun 2023: Apa Implikasinya Bagi Koperasi Syariah

Abstract

New policies in Permenkop Number 8 of 2023 have sparked discussions about the adaptation of sharia cooperatives. This study specifically examines governance through a qualitative descriptive research method. The studyshows that the new regulations have new impacts and challenges in the institutional management of Islamic cooperatives, including cooperative management, particularly in terms of accountability and operational efficiency. Cooperatives are faced with the need to adapt to new, stricter regulations, especially in terms of reporting, supervision, emphasis on accountability, financial report transparency, and stricter standard operating procedures for cooperatives. This policy also includes new rules on supervision and restrictions on the ownership and management of cooperative assets. Meanwhile, the challenges related to administrative burdens and the need for transparency require cooperatives to invest in technology to simplify reporting and improve accountability. These findings have important implications for the sustainable development of Islamic cooperatives.
