Opinia de Journal: Journal of Sharia Economic Law
Opinia de Journal is committed to upholding academic integrity and maintaining the highest ethical standards in scholarly publication. Therefore, all manuscripts submitted to this journal must be free from any form of plagiarism.
1. Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the act of taking, copying, or using another person’s ideas, data, methods, research results, or words without proper acknowledgment or citation. Forms of plagiarism include, but are not limited to:
- Directly copying part or all of the text without appropriate citation.
- Quoting a source without proper referencing.
- Paraphrasing another person’s ideas without giving credit.
- Presenting other people’s research findings or academic work as one’s own.
- Self-plagiarism, i.e., reusing substantial parts of one’s own previously published work without permission or proper disclosure.
2. Tolerance Limit
- All submitted manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software.
- The maximum similarity index allowed is 20% (excluding references).
- Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the author(s) for revision or may be rejected outright.
3. Screening Process
- Each submitted manuscript will undergo a similarity check by the editorial team prior to the peer review process.
- If serious plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be rejected, and the author(s) may be subject to sanctions, including prohibition from future submissions for a certain period.
4. Author’s Responsibility
Authors bear full responsibility for the originality of their manuscripts. By submitting a manuscript to Opinia de Journal, authors confirm that:
- The work is their own original contribution.
- The manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere.
- All sources used have been properly cited in accordance with academic standards.
5. Actions on Violations
- If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the editorial board reserves the right to:
- Retract the published article.
- Announce the violation in a subsequent issue of the journal.
- Notify the author’s affiliated institution or organization regarding the misconduct.
