Peer Review Process

Peer Reviewer Process : Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Eduvia: Journal Of Islamic Education and Teaching undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of the published work.

1. Initial Screening

Upon submission, manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team to assess their relevance to the journal’s scope, adherence to author guidelines, and overall academic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be rejected at this stage.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The identities of both authors and reviewers are kept strictly confidential throughout the review process to maintain objectivity and impartiality.

3. Review Criteria

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

• Originality and contribution to the field

• Theoretical and methodological rigor

• Clarity of presentation and organization

• Relevance to the journal’s focus on Islamic education, contemporary educational studies, and teaching practices

• Accuracy of references and scholarly context

Based on their assessment, reviewers provide detailed comments and make one of the following recommendations:

• Accept without revisions

• Accept with minor revisions

• Revise and resubmit (major revisions)

• Reject

4. Editorial Decision

The final decision on a manuscript (acceptance, revision, or rejection) is made by the Editor in Chief, considering the reviewers’ recommendations and the manuscript’s overall quality. Authors are notified of the decision and receive anonymized reviewer comments.

5. Revision and Resubmission

If revisions are requested, authors are expected to respond to each reviewer comment and submit a revised version within the specified timeframe. The revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.

6. Final Acceptance and Publication

Once a manuscript is accepted, it undergoes final editing, proofreading, and formatting before publication. All accepted articles are published in the upcoming issue according to the journal’s biannual schedule (June and December).
