1. Duties of the Editorial Board
1.1 Publication Decisions
The Editor in Chief is responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts will be published. The decision is based on the academic quality, originality, clarity, relevance to the journal’s scope, and contribution to the field of education and teaching. The editorial board strictly adheres to the journal’s policies and applicable legal requirements concerning issues such as defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.
1.2 Editorial Independence and Fair Play
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual content, without regard to the author’s race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political views. Editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial interests or institutional affiliations.
1.3 Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and related communications, and may only disclose such information to the corresponding author, reviewers, and editorial advisors, as appropriate.
1.4 Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished information contained in submitted manuscripts for their own research or personal advantage. They must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, institutions, or companies associated with the paper.
1.5 Handling Misconduct
The editorial board will take all reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred. In cases of suspected or confirmed misconduct such as plagiarism, data falsification, or unethical research practices the editors will follow COPE guidelines and may retract or correct articles when necessary.

2. Duties of Reviewers
2.1 Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review supports the editorial team in making informed publication decisions and also helps authors improve their manuscripts by providing constructive and valuable feedback.
2.2 Promptness
Reviewers are expected to complete their reviews within the agreed timeframe. If a reviewer is unable to meet the deadline, they must promptly notify the editor so that alternative reviewers can be assigned without delaying the editorial process.
2.3 Confidentiality
All manuscripts received for review must be treated as strictly confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or disclose any part of the manuscript with others unless explicitly authorized by the editorial board.
2.4 Objectivity
Reviews must be conducted in an objective and professional manner. Reviewers should express their views clearly and provide well-supported arguments, while refraining from personal criticism of the authors.
2.5 Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should ensure that all relevant published work has been properly cited by the authors. Any indication of plagiarism, data manipulation, or substantial overlap with previously published work must be reported immediately to the editor.
2.6 Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist. These may include personal, professional, financial, or institutional connections with the authors or their work.

3. Duties of Authors
3.1 Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are entirely original and that any sources or prior works are properly cited. All manuscripts submitted to Eduvia (Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengajaran Islam) are subject to plagiarism screening. Plagiarism in any form, including self plagiarism, is considered unethical and unacceptable.
3.2 Authorship of the Manuscript
Authorship should be restricted to individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All listed authors must have approved the final version of the manuscript and consented to its submission for publication.
3.3 Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Authors are required to disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might affect the results, interpretation, or integrity of their manuscript.
3.4 Data Access and Retention
Authors may be requested to provide the raw data related to their manuscript for editorial review. They must be prepared to make such data publicly available if reasonably requested and should retain such data for a reasonable period after publication.
3.5 Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Submissions
Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously, or publishing substantially similar work in multiple venues, constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
3.6 Acknowledgement of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite all publications and sources that have significantly influenced their own research and writing.
